With rumours suggesting that Donncha O’Callaghan could be on his way out of 2FM, it’s time to take a look inside the former rugby player’s family life. Joining 2FM Breakfast in May 2021 with Carl Mullan following Eoghan McDermott’s departure from his show with Doireann Garrihy, Donncha is one of the national broadcaster’s biggest stars. However, the station is currently in crisis mode, with his co-host Doireann, Jennifer Zamparelli and the 2 Johnnies leaving their respected shows last month.

Despite his new co-cost Aifric O’Connell proving a hit with listeners since replacing Doireann, its rumoured that the Munster man could be following in the Dancing with the Stars presenter’s footsteps. Donncha is married to his wife Jenny Harte, who he initially met through mutual friends when they were both attending different secondary schools in their native county Cork. After breaking through on the rugby scene, Donncha and Jenny began dating for several years before announcing their engagement in April 2009 two weeks after Brian O’Driscoll and Amy Huberman confirmed their plans to walk down the aisle.

Two months after announcing their engagement, the couple said ‘I do’ at a gorgeous ceremony held at St Columba’s Church in Douglas, Co Cork. It was a star-studded occasion, with Donncha’s teammates Brian, Ronan O’Gara, Jamie Heaslip, David Wallace, Peter Stringer, Gordon D’Arcy and the late Anthony Foley all in attendance.
