The partnership is poised to offer a plethora of travel options, tapping into IndiGo’s extensive network across India and JAL’s routes to Tokyo and beyond. Under the agreement, JAL will gain access to 14 of IndiGo’s Indian destinations, expanding its reach beyond Delhi and Bengaluru.
This initial phase aims to streamline travel for Japan Airlines customers, paving the way for further collaboration in subsequent phases. Abhijit Dasgupta, Senior Vice President of Network Planning & Revenue Management at IndiGo, emphasizes the partnership’s role in bolstering trade, commerce, and tourism between India and Japan. JAL, which currently operates daily flights between Tokyo Haneda and Delhi, along with services to Bengaluru, is poised to extend its presence across major Indian cities.
Through the codeshare, travelers will enjoy the convenience of booking seamless journeys on one ticket, facilitating smoother travel experiences.
