Greg O’Shea has wrapped up a weekend full of ‘blood, sweat & tears [and] great vibes’ after he completed a marathon in South Africa. The former Six O’Clock Show presenter took part in the Mountain Ultra Trail by UTMB, which took place in George, Western Cape. Sharing a glimpse inside the gruelling challenge, Greg admitted it was a ‘proper excursion through the mountains.

’ A post shared by Greg O’Shea (@gregoshea) The star completed 44.3km in six hours and 17 minutes. Taking to social media , Greg shared a series of photos of the event including one of him kissing his girlfriend Jeanni Mulder, who also completed the challenge.

He also shared some snaps of the scenes he enjoyed while embarking on the challenge as well as a picture alongside fellow competitor Joe Van Zyl. ‘This weekend had it all..

. but mostly just great vibes,’ Greg wrote, ‘I particularly enjoyed being the support crew today actually! ‘There’s nothing quite like setting yourself a big goal and reaching that finish line after giving it your best effort, whether it’s a marathon or a 10km or a 100miles (I’ll forever be in awe of those milers).’ The presenter added that ‘everyone has their own story and reason for signing up.

’ ‘Nobody really cares what time you do as long as you just give it a good go with a smile on your face!’ The former Olympian extended his gratitude to the event organisers ‘for putting on this top class event, and for the wonderf.
