Give it two weeks and you’ll be seeing these all over your Instagram on the feet of your favourite influencer as they tip them as an affordable alternative for higher-end styles.
I’ve been writing about fashion for eight years, and during that time have developed a knack for knowing exactly which pieces from a retailer’s new-in collection will go viral, sell out, or end up better than half price in the sale months later. But I’m particularly talented at spotting Marks and Spencer gems. Last year, it was that striped crochet maxi dress - which has returned in new colours for 2024 - but this year, I have already predicted a number of sell-out pieces from the high street favourite, including the Cos-like quilted shoulder bag, as well as this denim trench that looks like one from Reformation, a braided top handle bag which is yet to see a restock and this expensive-looking midi dress, which has recently come back into stock in all sizes.
