These rules, which came into effect last month, include a daily charge for day-trippers and new restrictions on group sizes and public behavior. Tourism Councillor Simone Venturini explained that these new rules are part of a broader effort to improve and manage tourism in Venice.
He emphasized the need to balance the interests of residents, workers, and visitors, aiming for a sustainable approach to tourism. Venturini noted that the measures, including limits on group sizes and the use of amplifiers, were introduced to provide consistency with existing regulations for civic museum visits. These changes are expected to help tourism operators adjust and comply smoothly.
