SHOPPERS are racing to get to their nearest Asda store, eager to get their hands on packs of mince that have been slashed. So if you’re on a budget as a result of the cost-of-living crisis, and are looking to cut costs on your grocery shopping where possible, you’ll need to check this out. Particularly if you’re a fan of spaghetti bolognese, chilli con carne or lasagne, Asda will have just what you need.

One foodie was left beaming when browsing the meat aisle in Asda, when he spotted that 400gram packs of mince had been slashed. Thrilled with his finds, Phil Bradshaw stocked up on ten packs of the rich beef and pork mince and took to social media to alert others. Posting on Yellow sticker shopping tips, tricks and hauls , a private Facebook group with 182,800 members, Phil shared a snap of his cheap haul and wrote: “Left loads.

Nobody was there.” Whilst the packs of mince were once priced at £1.50 each, Phil was thrilled to get his hands on the mince for just 79p each, saving 71p per pack.

What should have cost Phil £15 in total, set him back only £7.90, saving him an impressive £7.10 overall.

Phil later revealed that he was shopping in his local Asda at “about 3pm” when he found the bargain buys. He added: “Most of the stuff wasn't reduced anywhere near as much.” The shopper then claimed: “The gun has an algorithm and reduces things heavily if there is a large quantity of it.

“Was probably 25 packs of this.” Social media users were stunned by Phi.
