A MUM has been forced to apologise after a Shein bikini led to a disastrous wardrobe malfunction. She urged people to urgently check the labels of their swimwear before venturing on their summer holidays . Ashleigh was excited to jet off to the Dominican Republic until she saw a TikTok video of a woman wearing a Shein bikini.

The had gone swimming , but when she got out of the pool , she realised her bikini had shrunk, leading to an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction. The woman revealed that the reason her swimwear had shrunk was because in the label, it said that the garment was for poolside only, and was not water resistant. Ashleigh frantically checked her swimming costumes, and revealed that they said the same thing.

Taking to TikTok, she said: "I would just like the publicly apologise in advance for whoever is going to be around the pool or at the beach with me in two weeks' time. "There's no way I'm going out and buying a load more bikinis, so I apologise in advance if my bum is hanging out when I get out of the pool". Ashleigh urged Shein shoppers to also check their swimwear labels, to see if they are suitable for use in water.

In another video, she explained that to check swimwear before purchase, simply click on your chosen bikini and then scroll down to the description. If the bikinis are unsuitable for pool usage their will be a disclaimer in the description, which reads: "Recommended for poolside use. "Not water resistant".
