It's a tough life having naturally oily hair — scheduling hair-wash days around social events is a pain, especially when locks look greasy within 24 hours of washing. An oily-haired gal myself, I've been a dry shampoo convert since I discovered the joys of Batiste back in the day, but it has its downsides; it may give my limp locks a bit of volume and save me from an early alarm, but it often leaves my hair (and hands) feeling chalky and stiff. It's been making the rounds on social media for its ability to make lacklustre strands look freshly washed, with celebrities such as Jennifer Aniston and Lily Collins rumoured to be fans. A fellow beauty journalist even told me that she preferred the look and feel of her hair with the dry shampoo in it rather than washing it — a bold claim, but one that intrigued me. She isn't the only devotee, with LookFantastic reviewers claiming it 'doesn't clog up hair' like other dry shampoos and 'doesn't leave (behind) horrid grey residue'.
