A WOMAN has revealed that she has transformed her ugly garden wall, without breaking the bank. So if you want to impress your guests with your garden this summer , but are on a budget and are looking for simple ways to cut costs , then you’ve come to the right place. DIY fan Claire Appleton lives in North Yorkshire , in a former Mill owner’s home , built in the 1920s.
Not only is she on a mission to give the inside of her home a mega makeover , but she’s also spent time looking after the garden too. And one of her recent tasks involved creating a jaw-dropping garden wall display - so prepare to be impressed. Claire took to social media to share how she made her very own DIY flower wall, leaving many open-mouthed.
Claire claimed: “Flower/green walls are perfect for hiding ugly fences or walls!” Claire confirmed that to make her “ budget green wall”, she nabbed two packs of green wall panels, from B&M, costing her £50. As well as this, she nabbed a selection of faux plants from Shein , for just £20. Not only this, but the bargain hunter also got her hands on a pack of trellis solar lights from B&M , for only £15.
To create her very own green wall display, Claire stuck the green wall panels to her garden wall, using wire clips which she hammered into the mortar. She then added the faux flowers and lights, giving her once plain garden wall a total transformation. Claire’s wall display cost her £85 in total, and we think it’s an incredibly cost-effective way .
