ELECTRIC Picnic have revealed a major update for the festival as they announced ten new acts just weeks before the event. People from all over the country will be heading to Stradbally in Co Laois for the three-day festival which starts on Friday, August 16, and runs until Sunday, August 18. With just six weeks to go until the biggest festival in Ireland welcomes 75,000 music fans, the festival has announced 10 more acts who will perform over the three-day weekend.
CMAT will be returning to Stradbally after wowing crowds in 2022. Eurovision fans will be happy to know two-time winner Loreen, and Ireland’s very own Bambie Thug will be making their Picnic debuts over the weekend. 80s icons The Stranglers, who are currently on their 50th anniversary tour, will be making an appearance.
Irish folk music group Lankum will also perform at the sold-out event, while Ivor Novello winner Villagers brings his uniquely nuanced and melodic fusion of folk, pop and rock to Stradbally. Finally, festival-goers can a catch a special podcast from Blindboy, and music from daydreamers, Cardinals and Zimmer90. The schedule for each act has yet to be announced, with only the headliners' schedule revealed back in April.
Noah Kahn will be taking to the stage as Friday’s headline act, while Calvin Harris and Kodaline will be performing on the Saturday. Kylie Minogue will finish off the weekend as the final headliner on Sunday. Other acts confirmed to perform at the festival include Raye , Peggy Gou,.
