Friday, May 24, 2024 Proto, the pioneering hologram device and platform that turns holoportation into reality, announced that its advisor Howie Mandel will make a live holographic appearance to surprise travelers at JFK Terminal 4, managed by JFKIAT. The America’s Got Talent judge is celebrating the expanded deployment of Proto at the terminal, which now includes a holographic presentation by Bronx Zoo Director Jim Breheny featuring sloths, alligators, pelicans, and warthogs. In the Proto units, people, animals, and objects are displayed life-size and in volumetric 4K resolution, creating the illusion that they are physically present.

When someone beams in live, they can interact with travelers in real-time. Mandel has previously recorded a hologram discussing Terminal 4’s T4 Arts & Culture program and Proto technology. This time, he will beam in live for the first time.
