Comedian and “America’s Got Talent” judge Howie Mandel recenty detailed a harrowing experience with his wife while in Las vegas, on a June 17 episode of the ABC talk show “Live with Kelly and Mark.” In his interview, Howie Mandel , 68, recounted in gruesome detail how his “tipsy” wife, Terry Mandel, also 68, took a tumble in their Sin City hotel room in the middle of the night and suffered an injury to her face that injured her eye and broke her cheek. “She headed into the wall,” Mandel recalled of their February trip to hosts Kelly Ripa and mark Consuelos.
“We partied. It was too much. She was tipsy.
I did not know that, and in the middle of the night she got up and, I don’t know where she was headed. She headed into the wall and fell and hit the wainscoting. “She hit that as she went down.
She slipped, went down, hit that on her eye, fell on the floor, and broke her cheek.” In the interview, he even showed a stunning picture of the gash on her forehead and black-and-blue marks. “Freaked out” because of all the blood coming from his wife’s head, Mandel recalled trying to help her and stop the hotel mishap from getting worse.
“I saw her head, and you could actually see her skull. It opened up. I freaked.
This is the love of my life.” Eventually, Mandel summoned the hotel staff, who sent security detail and a medical team to their hotel room, who brought her to the hospital. “Within a second, they bang on the door,” Howie said.
