CHIP and Joanna Gaines have been blasted by HGTV fans after they destroyed a glass wall in a preview for their new show. The couple is remodeling a home in their new show, Fixer Upper: The Lakehouse . "It’s a #DemoDay role reversal, and @joannagaines is a natural!" they captioned the post .

"Watch the premiere of #FixerUpperTheLakehouse tonight at 8p/7c on #MagnoliaNetwork and @HGTV." In the promo clip Chip , 49, is heard saying that after 10 years of doing the dirty work, it is finally Joanne's turn. They clean out a dirty pool filled with muddy water and leaves.

The video then cuts to Joanna, 46, knocking down a glass wall with a hammer. She hits the square pieces one by one as Chip cheers for her in the background. Glass gets everywhere, even shooting straight at the camera.

About half of the wall is knocked down by the end of the clip. It then ends with Joanna climbing into the empty pool and pulling out sticks and other items. HGTV fans were cringing at the beautiful glass going to waste.

"That’s sad about the glass. REPURPOSE maybe?" an Instagram user wrote. "Agree! I can't watch," said another.

"The glass can be reuse in other ways, like donating them to a person that works stained glass or vases for example," added a third. "Maybe they should start recycling the old and updating with new and show how the old updated something else," said one fan. Chip and Joanna Gaines have been a staple on HGTV since 2014.

They have had many home remodeling shows ever since their.
