A brand new Helldivers 2 patch has arrived today with the FAF-14 Spear finally being fixed after causing crashes. Despite telling us all that Helldivers 2 's near-constant patch schedule would be slowing down at the start of the month, Arrowhead Game Studios is still tirelessly updating the game with the third patch since then (one of which was a 'mega update' ) hitting earlier today. The last Helldivers 2 patch we got was mainly focused on quality of life improvements and bugfixes, and this week's update is following in its footsteps.

The headlines of this week's Helldivers 2 patch include a major fix to the FAF-14 Spear weapon (which was supposedly fixed with the last patch). Some players would pick this weapon to go into battle with, aim with it, and it would have the devastating world-ending effect of – wait for it – crashing the game. Arrowhead has since fixed this issue, but that's not the only weapon fixed in this week's patch.

Another fantastic change comes in the form of the Plasma Punisher's buff which finally allows it to shoot through shield generators, as nature intended. The following is the full list of Helldivers 2 patch notes as posted by Arrowhead over on the game's official Steam News page (these updates apply to the PS5 version too, despite being posted on Steam ). For this patch, we have made improvements and changes to the following areas: These are issues that were either introduced by this patch and are being worked on, or are from a previous versi.
