Their union was blessed with an enduring love that spanned 66 years until Richard's passing in 2022. Together, they created a legacy of love, welcoming four children into the world: Stephen (Ann) Helbling, Martha (Kevin) Bowman, Andrew (Sherrie) Helbling, and Christopher (Gina) Helbling. Nancy's role as a mother was only surpassed by her joy in becoming a grandmother and great-grandmother to seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy and pride to her life.
She took great pleasure in summer camping trips along the east coast, creating cherished memories with her family. Throughout her life, Nancy was deeply involved in her community and church. She and Richard were active members of Latham Bible Baptist Church, Faith Baptist, and lastly, Trinity Baptist Church.
Nancy's musical talent was a gift she generously shared with her church family. As an accomplished pianist and organist, she filled the halls of all three churches with beautiful music, often accompanying the choir at Faith and Trinity. Her dedication to her faith and church community was unwavering, as evidenced by her 40 years of devoted service at Trinity Church.
There, she served as choir dir.
