London, The Grace, May 22 2024 Found somewhere in between the sassy, ‘90s rock ‘n’ roll charm of No Doubt and Alanis Morrisette and the visionary pop songwriting of Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo , Hannah Grae has had a hell of a year. Gracing festival stages at the likes of Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds and 2000trees over the last 12 months, her confessional pop-punk sound has seen her become a viral sensation. Just 19 years old when she wrote many of the songs on her debut mini-album ‘Hell Is A Teenage Girl’ in her hometown of Port Talbot, Wales, in January 2022, Hannah packed her bags and headed to London to pursue a career in music.
The first person in her family to move out of the country, she began documenting the ups and downs of such a monumental change in her life, a process that led to the creation of her 2024 mini-album, ‘Nothing Lasts Forever’. A fiery, angsty project brimming with new-found confidence and maturity, tonight Hannah is celebrating its release with her first ever headline show. In the heart of Islington, an intimate room plays host to the evening, various sized silver glitter balls hung from the ceiling.
The sticky wooden floor speckled with reflections, as the room begins to fill out with bodies and voices, a buzz of anticipation cuts through. With a playlist of alt. pop featuring the likes of Chappell Roan and Reneé Rapp blaring out as dance moves are struck in every corner of the room, by the time Hannah bounces out onstage donning.
