Tony Armstrong has been nominated for his first Gold Logie, leading the charge for the ABC in what is its most successful year yet: an astonishing 51 nominations including 47 in the new “best” categories. In the biggest surprise, though, two-time Gold Logie winner Hamish Blake has not been nominated for gold, instead his long-time comedy partner Andy Lee gets a nod for the first time. Also nominated for the Gold Logie are Asher Keddie, Julia Morris, Larry Emdur, Robert Irwin and last year’s winner Sonia Kruger .

If Armstrong wins the Gold Logie, it will complete a hat trick for the popular ABC personality, who won the most popular presenter award last year, while in 2022 he took home the award for most popular new talent.
Netflix’s Boy Swallows Universe was the most successful individual show, with eight best nominations (of the streamer’s total 11), plus two Graham Kennedy Award for Most Popular New Talent nods for its young stars Felix Cameron and Lee Tiger Halley. Based on Trent Dalton’s 2018 semi-autobiographical novel , the seven-part drama was nominated for best miniseries or telemovie, best actor for Cameron and Simon Baker, best actress for Phoebe Tonkin, best supporting actor for Halley, Bryan Brown and Travis.
