Si King has been flooded with messages of love and support from fans after sharing what they described as the 'saddest picture' since the loss of his friend and sidekick Dave Myers. The Hairy Bikers star and TV chef died in February at the age of 66 following a battle with cancer. Best friend Si announced the sad news in a heartbreaking message shared on social media, in which he confirmed he, Dave's wife Liliana Orzac, his family and close friend David were all by his side as he sadly passed on February 28.
It was decided after his death that Dave and Si's latest cookery series, Hairy Bikers Go West, would continue to air in his memory and the final episode of the series left viewers in tears . Their last cook book together has also since been released. Alongside the image, he wrote: "Thrilled to announce our delicious Hairy Biker Triple Hop beer that we lovingly made with @theakstonbrewery is coming to a shelf near you – first stop Waitrose! Go grab a bottle, sit down, relax and enjoy! Si x." But the empty seat alongside Si left fans emotional. @scott.
