EXCLUSIVE : Greenwich Entertainment has acquired U.S. rights to Happy Clothes: A Film About Patricia Field , an award-winning documentary from Michael Selditch about the famed costume designer of the same name.
On the heels of its world premiere at the 2023 Tribeca Festival, the film will open at NYC’s IFC Center on September 20, with Selditch, Field and surprise guests in attendance for Q&As after select screenings. Release plans for additional major markets and home entertainment will be announced at a later date. As a two-time Emmy-winning costume designer, Field is best known for her work on Sex and the City . Her resume also boasts some 30 other television shows including Ugly Betty , Emily in Paris and Run the World , as well as over a dozen films, including The Devil Wears Prada , for which she was nominated for an Academy Award. The doc features never-before-seen archival footage as well as interviews with collaborators Kim Cattral.
