In a recent case, a 12-year-old girl in Bengaluru passed away because of the same after eating a smoky paan infused with liquid nitrogen at a wedding reception, and this led to a hole forming in her stomach.

Doctors were then forced to perform surgery on the girl and doctors removed a patch of 4×5 cm on the lesser curvature of the stomach and after it she was moved to the ICU. 6 days later, the girl was discharged from the hospital.
However, she could not be saved. Doctors say that even inhaling the vapors can cause breathing problems and tissue damage as well in the nasal cavity. Earlier, people in Davanagere suffered from severe complications and stomach pain after eating smoke biscuits at an exhibition.
