(UPDATE) GERMANY'S ace spiker Kimberly Drewniok expressed her desire to play in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL).The 6-foot-2 opposite hitter told The Manila Times that if given a chance, and if there is an offer, she would grab the opportunity to play in the Philippines."Yes! I would love to play [in the PVL]. If you know anybody they can reach out to me, and I will come," Drewniok said.The now retired German athlete played for Germany in the Volleyball Nations League (VNL) and shared that is open to more experience and to step outside of her comfort zone."I would love to play here to be honest with you. I experience a little bit of Filipino energy, and you people are so open. I love the positivity and the drive already. For me, I am open to explore the world, and the Philippines is beautiful."Drewniok played in the first two weeks of this year's VNL for Germany, but opted to retire from the national team to give way for the younger players.She is a left spiker and a two-time German Cup Most Valuable Player.Drewniok is currently playing at League One Volleyball as an opposite hitter.The German spiker visited the Philippines as she is also an ambassador of Let's Keep the Ball Flying, and is in partnership with Spike and Serve.The Spike and Serve initiative of Nicole Tiamzon aims to reach remote areas and let the young volleyball aspirants have a fair chance to learn volleyball.
