Some good news is coming for General Hospital fans–as a fan-favorite star is returning to the ABC soap eight years after his on-screen death. Shortly after teasing the return of Morgan Corinthos, actor Bryan Craig’s return has been confirmed. It is good news for fans, after the show has been met with bad news lately, following confirmation of how alum Tyler Christopher died , as well as the news of Johnny Wactor’s sudden death in a robbery gone wrong.

Unfortunately, while Craig is coming back, it won’t be on a permanent basis. The actor’s reps confirmed his character, Morgan Corinthos, will make a brief appearance on one episode of the soap opera later this summer, according to People Magazine.
It’s unclear how his return will play into the story. Morgan had previously gotten fans excited when he teased his return in an Instagram slideshow of himself filming projects–with the last photo featuring him on the set of the ABC soap. “I hope the last shot is a ‘Morgan returns’ hint!!! We need him back!” a fan commented on the post.
