The funeral of the murdered dad-of-four Mark Carroll, who was stabbed to death in a house in west Dublin nearly two weeks ago is set to take place on Saturday. Tragic Mark, 34, from Finglas, died from stab wounds after he was attacked in the property in the Scribblestown area of Finglas at around 1am on Sunday, June 9 following a row with a man who has already served time in prison for killing a woman. He was treated at the scene and rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

A postmortem has been completed, the results of which are not being released for operational reasons. It is understood the suspect has gone on the run with officers suspecting that a pal may be protecting him and helping him to evade gardai.
