The Fortnite x Metallica crossover is here, and Epic Games has introduced a brand new item to Battle Royale based on one of the bands most iconic tracks. Metallica has taken over Fortnite alongside the launch of the Metallica Fortnite Festival Pass (and update 30.10 ) with new content arriving in Battle Royale, Rocket Racing, and, of course, Fortnite Festival based around the Fortnite x Metallica collab ( Lego Fortnite is sadly left out, but there are Lego Metallica skins available at least).
Alongside the new themed items, there are also some Metallica-themed quests being doled bout among Battle Royale, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival, allowing players to nab some Metallica cosmetics, including loading screens, emotes, and instruments based on the actual band's ones. As for Battle Royale's quests, a majority of them revolve around another new addition to the mode – the Fortnite Ride the Lightning item.
