LOS ANGELES, California — A former star on the soap opera “General Hospital” was killed Saturday when he stumbled upon thieves stealing the catalytic converter from his vehicle, according to reports. Johnny Wactor, 37, played Brando Corbin on the TV show from 2020 to 2022. Wactor also made multiple appearances on various TV shows such as “NCIS” and “Westworld.

” Police the shooting occurred at about 3 a.m. Saturday in downtown Los Angeles.

Three men reportedly were attempting to steal the catalytic converter from Wactor’s vehicle when he interrupted them, reports say. Wactor’s mother tells KABC that her son was walking a co-worker to her vehicle after working at his job at a downtown bar. She says her son initially thought his vehicle was being towed.

“There are not enough words to tell what a beautiful soul he was,” Scarlett Wactor in a statement. “He was a kind loving son and brother, he lived life to the fullest. He set goals and went after them.

There is a very large hole on our hearts and lives.” A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department that no arrests have been made. “My mother is tough as nails, but she’s broken down to the bone,” Grant Wactor, the victim’s younger brother, tells the Times.

“We have to get him back to Charleston (South Carolina). It’s just a shame. It seems like it was just the wrong place, wrong time.

” Wactor’s agent, David Shaul, said the actor was “a real moral example to everyone who knew him.�.
