COOPERSTOWN, N.D. — Fire marshals investigating the cause of a fire at the Coachman Inn over the weekend say it started in the kitchen.

An overnight fire destroyed the Coachman Inn's restaurant and bar. The attached hotel was not damaged by the flames. Firefighters fought the fire for about six hours after the call came in shortly after midnight on Sunday, May 19.

They came back an hour later when the fire flared up again. No one was hurt, but the restaurant and bar area of the inn is a total loss. The Coachman Inn was built in 1965.
