, The Totebag), which was introduced in 2019 and now comprises a huge assortment of bags, wallets and accessories. Jacobs has previously done sunglasses with Safilo, but this is a special range. Angelo Trocchia, chief executive officer of , said, “The relationship with Marc Jacobs is a longtime relationship that started in 2004 and was renewed in April until December 2031.
” “We built something special for 20 years and it’s a great story to build on,” Trocchia said. “Now they are launching ‘The Sunglasses’ collection, which is in line with Jacobs’ ‘The’ Items collection. Finally, the eyewear has joined the club,” he said.
“The Sunglasses” are offered in a range of three different unisex shapes, all branded with the codes inspired by the Marc Jacobs ready-to-wear and accessories collections. Their edgy shapes in bold acetate feature “The Sunglasses” logo prominently visible on the temples, conveying a strong fashion statement. The eyewear pieces are offered in a solid color palette paired with plain, shaded or mirror lenses, in line with the irreverent spirit of the brand.
Retail prices range from $150 to $175. Among the looks are the Marc 773/S sunglasses, which feature an oversize wrap.
