Thursday, May 30, 2024 A partnership agreement has been inked between Panasonic Avionics Corporation (Panasonic Avionics) and EVA Air at the Aircraft Interiors Expo. This deal encompasses the installation of in-flight engagement (IFE) and connectivity systems, as well as a suite of digital services, across 54 of EVA Air’s widebody and narrowbody aircraft. Panasonic Avionics’ latest Astrova seat-end IFE solution is set to be deployed on 18 of EVA Air’s new Airbus A350-1000 and 14 existing Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
This rollout will also include Panasonic’s Marketplace e-commerce solution and ArcTM integrated moving map. Furthermore, EVA Air will retrofit 17 of its Airbus A321 fleet with Panasonic Avionics’ eXW wireless IFE solution. Additionally, five Boeing 787-9 aircraft will be equipped with Panasonic Avionics’ NEXT and eX3 IFE systems, alongside connectivity services.
