Wednesday, June 26, 2024 Etihad Airways, the UAE’s national airline, made its inaugural landing in Denpasar, Bali, on Wednesday, marking the commencement of regular flights between Abu Dhabi and this idyllic island destination. The first flight, EY476, was celebrated at Zayed International Airport before departure on Tuesday evening. Upon arrival in Denpasar, the aircraft received a traditional water cannon salute, with Etihad’s Captains proudly waving the UAE and Indonesian flags from the cockpit to commemorate the launch of this direct route.
Operating four times weekly, the new service utilizes a state-of-the-art Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner featuring Etihad’s acclaimed Business Studios and Economy Smart seats. Offering 28 Business and 262 Economy seats equipped with Etihad’s E-Box entertainment system, in-seat power, and in-flight Wi-Fi connectivity, passengers can anticipate a comfortable and enjoyable journey complemented by top-notch service and hospitality. “I am honoured to be welcomed to the island today and proud to bring a full flight on our inaugural journey into Bali,” said Arik De, Etihad’s Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer.
