This fuel-efficient, single-aisle jet marks the beginning of Etihad’s strategic fleet expansion, aiming to bolster connectivity across its network. Previously operated by Bamboo Airways, this A321neo, registered as A6-AES, landed in Abu Dhabi on May 16th.
It’s the first of six such jets Etihad plans to integrate throughout 2024, all leased from AerCap and Tokyo Century-owned Aviation Capital Group. These pre-owned aircraft are around 2 years and 9 months old, offering a balance between performance and cost-effectiveness.
