Monday, July 8, 2024 Ethiopian Airlines , Africa’s top carrier, celebrates big! June saw new routes, more flights & Skytrax, APEX awards Ethiopian Airlines Group, the largest network carrier in Africa, proudly announces a remarkable period of growth and expansion. In June, the airline launched four new international and domestic routes, increased flight frequencies on six existing routes, and celebrated prestigious awards from Skytrax and APEX. On the international front, Ethiopian Airlines has broadened its reach with new routes to Freetown in Sierra Leone and Maun in Botswana.

Additionally, Warsaw, the capital of Poland, has been added as Ethiopian’s 24th European destination, effective July 1st. Domestically, new flights to Axum and Nekemte have been introduced. The airline also increased frequencies on several routes.

In recognition of its continuous excellence, Skytrax and APEX honored Ethiopian Airlines for its achievements in enhancing customer experience. In addition to these new routes, Ethiopian Airlines has augmented frequencies on existing routes. As of May 31, 2024, the Ouagadougou route now operates daily flights.

Conakry also transitioned to daily flights starting June 1, 2024. New morning departures from Addis Ababa to Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar began on June 16, 2024, along with additional midday departures to Kigali. Evening operations to Douala are set to commence in July 2024, followed by Lubumbashi in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

June was a triumph.
