England have made history at Euro 2024 - but not for a good reason. The Three Lions won Group C in dismal fashion , drawing 0-0 to Slovenia on Tuesday night to get the job done. That point secured top spot, however, Gareth Southgate has come under fire once again for yet another underwhelming performance.

Southgate and captain Harry Kane took the positives from the result, but fans won't have the same view. Supporters have been subjected to three lacklustre games in Group C and it was so boring, that is has equalled an unwanted record. There were a total of just seven goals scored throughout the entirety of the group's games.

.. That makes Group C at Euro 2024 the joint-lowest scoring group ever seen at the European Championships.

The only other time this has happened was in 2016 as Germany , Poland, Northern Ireland and Ukraine only netted seven times. On top of the lack of goals, there was also a lack of wins! England were the only team to win a game and that three points came from beating Serbia 1-0 in their tournament opener. Denmark and Slovenia drew every single one of their outings while Serbia drew two and lost one.

There were two 0-0s in the group and there wasn't a single game that had over two goals in it. With the stars that England possess, fans would have expected some goal fests from the Three Lions. But they have come nowhere near to achieving that yet.

.. Southgate's side have recorded a lower xG than every single other country to have qualified for the last 16.
