Thursday, May 30, 2024 The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has announced that the 80th IATA Annual General Meeting (AGM) and World Air Transport Summit (WATS) will take place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) from June 2-4, 2024. This prestigious event, hosted by Emirates Airline, marks the first time it is being held in the UAE, drawing over 1,500 participants, including industry leaders, government officials, and media representatives. E. Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy for the UAE, will welcome delegates with an opening keynote speech. Willie Walsh, IATA’s Director General, emphasized Dubai’s strategic significance in global aviation, highlighting its world-leading connectivity and pivotal role in the industry.
