The news about the continuation of the medical comedy-drama series was confirmed on Wednesday, when it was revealed that the program would no longer be hosted on Showtime.
The new Nurse Jackie series will pick up a decade after the conclusion of the original program, reports Variety . The show will follow the troubled care provider — played by Falco, 60 — as she attempts to put her life back together after losing her nursing license. Liz Flahive and Abe Sylvia, who served as both writers and producers for the original series, are set to return in the same capacity.
