Sunday, May 26, 2024 Eastern Airways , a prominent UK regional airline, has launched a new service from Teesside Airport to Aberdeen, reconnecting North-East England with Scotland. The flights will initially run daily on weekdays and Sundays, with plans to expand to twice daily starting September 9th, featuring peak morning and evening schedules to cater to the connectivity needs of North-East Scotland’s energy hub. Eastern Airways, which had previously operated this route from 2001 to 2022, is returning to the Aberdeen service.
This addition complements the airline’s established seasonal summer service to Jersey from Teesside and its recent deployment of a 100-seat Embraer 190 last month to manage the KLM Cityhopper service to Amsterdam. With these expansions, Eastern Airways now handles up to 54 arrivals and departures weekly at Teesside Airport.
