EastEnders enthusiasts have pieced together the puzzle behind soap icon Chrissie Watts' anticipated return. The soap confirmed this week that Chrissie, portrayed by Tracy-Ann Oberman, will be making a comeback to the square nearly two decades after her dramatic departure. Chrissie graced the show from 2004 to 2005 as a regular character.
As Dirty Den's (Leslie Grantham) spouse Chrissie quickly became a fan favourite, featuring in 218 episodes. Her time on Albert Square saw her as the Queen Vic's landlady and entangled in a host of plots, yet she is best known for the murder of her husband Den. After being jailed for Den's murder Chrissie left the show in 2015.
Nineteen years later and she's set to make a brief return to Walford later in the year. But before her reappearance fans are buzzing with theories about what prompts her return, with many suspecting it involves her adversary Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), reports the Daily Star .
