Duncan James has been met with supportive messages from celebrity pals on social media this week after sharing that he's "truly heartbroken" over the loss of a friend. The singer, 46, took to Instagram on Wednesday evening to announce that his close pal Terry, known as Groover, had passed away. Duncan paid tribute on the platform alongside a compilation video that featured various photos of the pair.
In the caption that accompanied the video, which also included photos of them with other pals like the late Tara Palmer-Tomkinson , Duncan shared that he considered Terry as family. He also described him as his "best friend". He wrote: "Sadly it's just been confirmed my best friend has passed.
Terry aka Groover was such an amazing person, he was my best Judy and I regarded him as family. Everyone that met him fell in love with him and wanted to take care of him. He was the most loving, giving and caring person I knew and I honestly can't believe I will never see him again.
" "I'm truly heartbroken from his loss as will many, who were lucky enough to know him. I will miss you so so much my little groove, your bants, your cussing, your jokes, your 4 min voice notes and most of all your handsome face," he added. Duncan continued by writing in the post on the platform: "You're now with your mum and TPT in spirit and I know you're gonna be finally at peace.
I love u so much Terry and I know your light is gonna shine even brighter from up there. May God bless you for eternity and may yo.
