DUA Lipa has hit back back at Glastonbury ‘miming’ accusations with a defiant three word response. Singer Dua , 28, was blasted for her Friday night headline set after sound issues struck the thrilling performance. The pop star was accused by people watching at home of miming her hits — which included Be The One and Houdini.
One posted on X : “Can you believe anyone headlining Glastonbury would lip-sync the whole show? Shocking!” Another added: "#Glastonbury2024 is now a just a big Lip sync battle #DuaLipa AWFUL." And a third asked: "Trying not to sound critical, but is #DuaLipa singing live or is it lipsync?" But Dua has retaliated at the accusations, telling The Mail on Sunday : "I don't mime," after the set. The Sun on Sunday also revealed Dua had suffered some bad luck due to a sound delay as part of the BBC’s broadcast of the coverage on some services.
The One Kiss singer headlined the first night of the iconic festival , performing on the Pyramid Stage to a huge crowd. The anthemic performance featured multiple costume changes, a guest appearance by Tame Impala's Kevin Parker , and slick dance moves. But fans watching through the BBC's iPlayer found the audio cut out at several points, was muffled at others, and was generally flat.
Frustrated fans took to social media to complain the 28-year-old artist was being let down during one of the biggest performances of her life. One said: "The sound on the BBC stream of #Glastonbury is..
