She married Chester Kucinski in 1959 and had her only, beautiful daughter, Megan. She subsequently worked for the New York State public school system for the next 16 years. Dolores married Vladamir Drobot and moved to San Jose, CA in 1973, where she would live for the remainder of her life.

She was a substitute teacher from 1973 to 1976; a majority of the time at San Jose City Hall at their juvenile detention facility and a few times in the San Jose City jail. She then went on to teach grade school at Saint Clare’s from 1976 to 1991. From 1992 to 2001 she taught adults at the Metropolitan Education District.

When she wasn’t teaching the future generations of our world, she volunteered at Kaiser Santa Teresa Hospital in admissions that she lived right down the road from. She spent 18 years there from 2006 to 2024, donating her time to helping people from all walks of life. When she wasn’t busy with teaching, volunteering, or spending time wit.
