Emirates, known for its extensive international network, was found to have conducted numerous flights between the United Arab Emirates and the United States, passing through airspace that the FAA had prohibited for U.

S. carriers and their partners without special authorization. An Emirates spokesperson explained that the airline had planned to operate the flights at or above the restricted levels.
However, during the flights, air traffic control (ATC) did not authorize the ascent or instructed the flights to operate below the restricted level. The spokesperson emphasized that Emirates’ pilots followed ATC instructions in accordance with international aviation safety regulations.
