Coronation Street's Daniel Brocklebank has received an outpouring of support from his partner after he shared his heartache over the death of rugby icon Rob Burrow. The Leeds Rhinos, where the former rugby league player made his mark, confirmed his death at age 41 on Sunday (June 2), after a valiant fight against motor neurone disease. The club shared that he "passed away peacefully" at Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield, close to his residence, with his family by his side, after his condition worsened earlier in the week.

The rugby league team extended gratitude on behalf of the Burrow family to the hospital staff for their "their compassion and caring for Rob in his final days".
