He takes great pride in patterns and designs. Sometimes he works at Apotek Atelier on Laugavegur where he sells his products alongside Halldóra Sif, who runs the Icelandic fashion house Sif Benedicta . Sævar Markús has been fond of veils and scarves since he was a little boy and had a chance to look in his mother's and grandmother's closets.

His grandmother used scarves a lot. “My interest in scarves is from both my grandmother and my mother, but I remember my mother always putting a silk scarf around my neck when I was sick as a child. So I’m maybe especially fond of this accessory,” Sævar Markús says.

An interest in scarves of all kinds took off during the presidential election as the next President, Halla Tómasdóttir, often used silk scarves.
