A care home has hosted its own music festival. Deanwood Bupa Care Home in Warren Road, Woodingdean, Brighton , welcomed the community to its Bupa Fest event earlier this month. Live entertainment was arranged with music artists such as jazz singer Michael Lack performing for residents.

One resident, 82-year old Barbara Sumner, said: "It was a fantastic day.

"I loved the music, and it was great fun to have a dance and a singalong." It was a joyful day for all involved.

" "We’ve made lots of new memories and hopefully brought up some old, fond ones for our residents, reminiscing on their festival-going days. "It’s our ambition to create events which foster a fun and engaging environment for our residents and after the success of Bupa Fest, we’re looking forward to hosting further activities in the coming months.".
