As part of their latest AMA session, members of the DBD development team revealed some of their plans for the game’s future, including tweaks to three killers: Freddy Krueger, Michael Myers, and the Skull Merchant. Of course, the devs haven’t revealed the exact changes they plan to make. However, the potential updates for the first two characters will likely be to make them more relevant in the current meta.

Unfortunately, the Skull Merchant might not be as lucky. According to Behaviour Interactive’s , there is already a planned DBD update involving Freddy, and “[they’ll] have more information on that soon.” It’s currently unclear when this patch will arrive, but since it’s already in the works, you’ll probably get to see it sooner rather than later.

However, potential changes to Michael Myers are still up in the air. “Myers is definitely on our radar, and we’re hoping to see an update for him in the not-so-distant future,” they said. On the other hand, the Skull Merchant’s days of giving survivors nightmares may soon be coming to an end.

Michael Nielsen, lead game designer for Dead by Daylight, said, “As designers, we can’t really say we’re happy with where Skull Merchant is currently at, and it’s something we’re looking into. We have some bigger changes planned for her next year,” which indicates a sign.
