More info David Beckham is set to join the ranks of the stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame come 2025, in company with the late Prince and punk band Green Day. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has proudly unveiled the list of luminaries slated for homage on the iconic Hollywood Boulevard sidewalk. Joining the 'Purple Rain' songster is the 49-year-old football icon .

The American punk rockers, alongside silver screen and stage veterans Jane Fonda, 86, and Alan Cumming, 58, are among others earmarked for next year, reports the Mirror . John Carpenter, Jessica Chastain, Bill Duke, Robert Englund, Emilio Estevez, Colin Farrell , Nia Long, Lisa LIu, Glynn Turman, and centenarian stunt woman Toni Vaz, regal at age 101, will also be honoured. Fran Drescher, Lauren Graham, science enthusiast Bill Nye, Molly Shannon, Sherri Shepherd, Courtney B.

Vance, Chris Wallace, and South Park's Trey Parker and Matt Stone also get a star. Fantasia, Depeche Mode, Los Bukis, The B-52s, The Isley Brothers, Busta Rhymes, George Strait, Keith Urban and WAR will also be honoured. Commerce Chairman Peter Roth said: "Each honouree truly embodies the essence of excellence in their respective fields.
