A new six-screen cinema, café, and bar is set to open in Epsom this weekend. Epsom Picturehouse in Derby Square is the latest addition to the Picturehouse Cinemas chain. The new cinema will open on Saturday (June 1).
As part of Picturehouse's nod to local history, they have dedicated one of the two screens to Epsom’s first-ever cinema, The Electric Theatre, which opened its doors to neighbourhood cinema lovers in 1910. At the new cinema, tickets for adults are all £9.99 and £7.
99 for children every day, except for Monday when they are a couple of pounds cheaper. The venue has also announced its Summer Outdoor Cinema season. Enjoy alfresco cinema under the stars as the pop-up screen comes to Bourne Hallin Ewell from Friday, July 5.
Bring a blanket for the perfect way to spend a summer evening, with crowd-pleasers like Mamma Mia, Twilight, and Back to the Future. Film fans can catch up with a wide range of classic movies from directors such as the Coen Brothers and Stanley Kubrick – perfect to revisit on the big screen. Tickets are on sale now for Furiosa George Miller's epic Mad Max prequel starring Chris Hemsworth and Anya Taylor-Joy, and film lovers will be able to book soon for new releases including the horror thriller A Quiet Place: Day One and Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine.
There'll also be chances to catch this year's family titles, Inside Out 2 and Despicable Me 4 - and there's a discounted family ticket available. Clare Binns, Managing Director of Pic.
