With a knotted hanky on his head, Damien Hirst took his newborn son out in a buggy adorned with butterflies. Hirst, 59, and ballerina fiancee Sophie Cannell, 30, met friends lunch at posh restaurant Scott’s in Mayfair. The couple also had a separate buggy for their dog.

The diamond encrusted pram was designed by Hirst himself is said to be worth £50,000. Butterflies have been a constant motif in his work and he has described them as a “universal trigger” to sybolise love, beauty and the fragility of life. In another snap of their son, Sophie proudly wrote: “Welcome to the World OUR BOY.” Sophie, who also dabbles in acting and modelling, announced her pregnancy and the gender of the baby back in November after sharing a post to Instagram . Baring her baby bump while sitting at the edge of a pool, the then mum-to-be wrote: “He’s a water boy.

” Meanwhile, Damien shared 12 pregnant bellies in the form of NFT artwork to hint at the happy news. The proud dad gifted Sophie a huge cake in the shape of her womb with a baby curled up ins.
