The Meteorological Department has issued an alert, indicating that many districts in Bihar will experience significant impacts from the cyclone. Travelers should note that heavy rains are expected, along with winds blowing at speeds of 130 to 140 kilometers per hour.

The cyclone’s influence is already evident in Patna, leading to the cancellation of flights between Kolkata and Patna and Patna to Kolkata as a precautionary measure. Additionally, flights from Deoghar to Patna and Patna to Deoghar have been canceled, causing considerable inconvenience to passengers. The Meteorological Department reports that Cyclone Rimel made landfall on the West Bengal coast late Sunday night, bringing with it heavy rains and strong winds.

Both West Bengal and Bihar have made thorough preparations to handle the cyclone. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also conducted a meeting to ensure readiness against the cyclone’s impact. In northern Bihar, the cyclonic storm is expected to bring significant rainfall, which will lower the maximum temperature and provide relief from the heat.
