Qatar tribune Tribune News Network Doha The Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) hosted the vibrant ‘Malhar 2.0’ event on June 12, in the ICC premises, in association with the ICC Youth Wing. The Wednesday Fiesta showcased a remarkable blend of cultural performances, awards and special guest appearances, captivating the audience with its diverse offerings.

Renowned lyricist Vayalar Sarath Chandra Varma and acclaimed Kannada singer Seema Raiker graced the event. A highlight of the evening was the felicitation of Indian students who were recently awarded medals for educational excellence by the Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, a moment celebrated with great pride by the ICC community. In conjunction with the fiesta, the ICC Youth Wing celebrated World Environment Day with a unique sustainability-themed fashion contest.

This contest featured creative outfits made from recycled materials, emphasising the importance of environmental conservation. Colourful group dances and various cultural programmes further enriched the evening, showcasing the diverse talents within the community. ICC President AP Manikantan delivered a presidential speech, highlighting the importance of cultural preservation and community unity.

Other notable attendees included ICC Vice President Subramanyam, ICC General Secretary Mohankumar Duraisamy, and members of the ICC Management Committee, alongside ICC Youth Wing Chairman Edwin Sebastian, General Convenor Dishari Roy, and executive members .
