Husband and wife duo Cassandra and Wes say their five-inch height difference has led to "vile" comments from trolls. Some have even gone as far as thinking Wes, who stands at 5ft 5in, is Cassandra's son. Wes says the couple, who met on a dating app in 2007, never really made a "big deal" about their height difference.

Meanwhile 5ft 10in Cassandra, who can tower a whopping eight inches above Wes in heels, confessed she had previously been unsure about dating someone smaller than her. Appearing on the Love Don't Judge podcast, she explained: "When I started dating I didn't want to date anyone shorter than me because I was just so focussed on what people would think." Cassandra however says once she connected with Wes, she decided to "let the height thing go" and their romance blossomed.

Comments online have been less than favourable towards Wes however. Trolls say he "can't protect" Cassandra, that he suffers "short-man syndrome" and that he looks like her child. The fashion-conscious couple began posting on showing off their daily outfits and even "went viral" after sharing a post about their wedding day.

Wes says the reaction was like he was "some kind of ". He said: "A lot of people do think it's peculiar and it's unusual so we get a lot of troll comments. The comments are so concerning.

Because there's a height difference in our relationship all of a sudden you're no longer feminine and I'm no longer masculine and that's not true at all. "The worst comment we got is that so.
